Food Drive to Support Dorothy Day

THE COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY CLUB OF FAIRFIELD COUNTY (CUCFC) CORDIALLY INVITES YOU TO SIGN UP FOR A 2-HOUR SHIFT TO PARTICIPATE IN A 2nd ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE TO SUPPORT DOROTHY DAY HOSPITALITY HOUSE

CUCFC, for many years, has contributed to our Fairfield community in line with Columbia University’s commitment to making a difference in communities through our CU alumni groups. Our annual Food Drives have supported OPERATION HOPE in Fairfield town, a food bank that serves more than 105,000 families in the Fairfield town area.

This year, we have added a 2nd Annual Food Drive to support needy families in another area of Fairfield County. This 2nd Annual Food Drive will support DOROTHY DAY HOSPITALITY HOUSE, a non-denominational charity organization who since 1982 uses donated food to feed sometimes over 100 hungry people per day in the Danbury area. Dorothy Day, in addition, shelters the homeless during the cold winter months.

To learn more about the Food Drive process and volunteer activities click here.

To volunteer, on the right screen please input the number of people you are bringing (children must be 13 years or older), then click the 2-hour shift you are volunteering to serve.
