The Columbia University Club of Fairfield County was originally established in the early 1980's. The primary focus of the Club was to have one annual event with a guest professor and the annual potluck picnic at the Greenwich Polo Grounds, the latter of which usually drew about 80-110 participants.
Current president is Ben Nneji and earlier presidents include: Dr. Ellen Steele, Nina Streitfeld, Julie Jason, Peter Basilevsky, Gerald Robilotti, Cliff Wattley and Claire Nathan.
Today, Fairfield County has over 5,000 CU Alums.
