Financial Planning Zoom with Julie Jason - Thursday, Aug 20

Navigating Retirement in Today’s Landscape
Thursday, August 20 | 7:00 PM (EST)
(Zoom)

Described by the Institute for Financial Literacy as "the trusted voice of retirement investing," Julie Jason is a longtime advocate for investor protection and financial literacy.  After earning her LLM from Columbia Law School, she started her Wall Street career as a securities lawyer, moved into management, then built an independent fiduciary boutique — Jackson, Grant Investment Advisers, Inc. of Stamford, CT — where her team manages portfolios for high-net-worth families with legacy goals.

Julie will share insights from working with clients and their families, accountants, and attorneys through four bear markets (two mega bears) and five bulls – along with her experience as a mediator and arbitrator for FINRA.

She will cover:

  1. Why retirement is different from any other investment life span
  2. Why spouses need to be involved with portfolio management, tax planning and legacy planning
  3. Understanding financial experts -- lessons from The Discerning Investor.
  4. Why the people you work with are more important than the investments you choose.

(Zoom speaker and former CUCFC board president)
