Sailing Event in Long Island Sound

Register to be part of this spectacular sailing event  on Long Island Sound with fellow Columbia University alums  aboard a private,  80-foot, 3-masted Schooner Soundwaters;  the teaching vessel of Long Island Sound.

To register input number of people in your party in appropriate box on the right, click PURCHASE TICKETS and follow instructions to RSVP register.

While sailing, Soundwaters will present interesting account of Maritime History Sails including a discussion (several stations)  on the history of oystering on Long Island Sound;  the importance of 19th and 20th century fisheries;  historical design of the sharpie schooner and the role Long Island Sound played in the coastal settlements.

This year's low one time price of $40, compared to last year’s $60, was made possible by a grant received by Soundwaters  from the National Park Service. Given the limited seats, register today to benefit from this opportunity.

Share the pride of being a Columbia University alum as you network with other alums, their friends and families as you quietly sail the Long Island Sound. A variety of light refreshments (fruits, sandwiches, salad, wine, soda, and water) will be provided.
